“…Stay winter: light the torch | In dark where life is forged…” *I mbolc; an invocation, by Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe
Anois Art is a online based gallery founded by Dee in 2021 which supports female and non-binary artists and offers affordable art for all to enjoy. Grianstad brought together two Anois artists together who pay homage to the mystical powers of nature as a giver of life, healing and magic. Grianstad the Irish word for solstice, brings forth a time to celebrate and honour our connection to the natural world. We welcome the sun’s rebirth, a life force for all nature and source of botanical goodness.
Sian Tomlinson’s vivid acrylic on canvas paintings bring new life to organic forms. As a huge lover of nature, she uses plants as her primary focus, exploring the colours and shadows of these flowing and irregular shapes. Her painterly gestures create a depth and texture to each subject set against flat planes of colourful compositions.
Inspired by mysticism, Annie Mackin’s new series of works are inspired by the pagan and Celtic ancient Goddess Brighid, worshipped for natural healing, motherhood and the home. In these colourful works on paper, linear outlines of elegant figures are often accompanied by mythical creatures, natural elements and still life objects that bring comfort and happiness.
